John is featured on this recording with Mark Ponzo, trumpet, and John Fairfield, horn, in the Trio for Trumpet, Horn, and Trombone by Verne Reynolds (1981).  This virtuoso work for brass was commissioned by the International Trombone Association.

Joy, Joy

On "Joy, Joy", featuring the Millar Brass Ensemble and tenor David Phelps, John is featured as trombonist and arranger.  Three of his best arrangements are included on this recording: O Holy Night, Joy To The World, and A Joyful Hallelujah.  This recording is on the Spring Hill label.

Brass Surround was the Millar Brass Ensemble's first recording for the Delos label.  John is trombonist with the ensemble on this cd, and two of his arrangements for large brass ensemble are featured as well: March, op. 99 by Prokofiev, and Rondeau by Jean Joseph Mouret.  Delos DE 3171
